The Commercial Bank Receives National 5-Star Rating

The Commercial Bank recently received Bauer Financial’s highest rating of five stars for the 15th consecutive quarter. Bauer conducts ratings every quarter and just reaffirmed The Commercial Bank’s rating for the 2nd quarter of 2018. BauerFinancial is the nation’s leading credit rating agency for banks and credit unions.


Banks who receive ratings of four stars or higher are banks that Bauer feels are superior and are institutions they recommend. Banks are required to file financial reports and then Bauer obtains the reports and does their research. The quarterly data is compared and then the rankings are given.


Some of the criteria that goes into a bank’s rating includes the level of delinquent loans, capital ratio, profitability/loss trend, value of investment portfolio, and community reinvestment rating (CRA).
